St. Charles, St. Clair, and Madison counties average 25 minutes, while workers in the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County have the shortest commutes, averaging 23 minutes. In summary, the map shows variations in commute times across the East-West Gateway region, with Jefferson County having the longest average commutes and the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County having the shortest.
