On February 28, the EWG Board of Directors approved a new route for a proposed north-south MetroLink line. This is the first step in the process to apply for federal funding for the proposed new light rail line, which would span Jefferson Avenue and terminate at Fairmount Park/Natural Bridge Road in the north and Chippewa Street in the south. The “Green Line” route has ten stops and is intended to connect with a variety of work centers and development projects, including the new headquarters for the National Geospatial Agency, the new MLS soccer stadium, Harris-Stowe University, and a new work force development hub.
