Welcome to the
2025 – 2030 St. Louis Regional Plan Update

A home struck by a tornado on the evening of May 31, 2013 tore away the living room wall and roof.

East-West Gateway Council of Governments (EWG) is embarking on an update to the 2020 – 2025 St. Louis Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. These updates occur every five years and ensure that counties, cities, school districts, and special districts in Franklin, Jefferson, St. Charles, and St. Louis counties, and the City of St. Louis can be eligible to receive hazard mitigation funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

To make this update a success, EWG relies on input from the public and the jurisdictions that will be part of the plan. For members of the public wanting to learn more about hazard mitigation planning, please click on the Public Portal link below, or click on the public survey link to let us know your thoughts. Counties, cities, school districts, and special districts should use the left side portal for more information about the plan process, requirements for participation, and downloadable forms.
